As UC San Diego modifies the ways in which we conduct business and interactions move online during this pandemic, please be mindful that general privacy requirements remain intact. Learn more about video conferencing precautions, protecting information while telecommuting, privacy during online exams and more.

Using Zoom for your video conferences is quick and easy. But you want to make sure your attendees are only the people you invite. Here are some tips to make sure this happens. 

Qualtrics Survey Tool

Qualtrics is a robust online survey-building tool that is highly customizable and easy to use. With the Qualtrics Research Suite, you are able to build and distribute your survey, analyze and report on your results, and collaborate in real-time in an easy to navigate web-based interface. Supporting Student Wellness

Help students navigate during these times of uncertainity with a plethora of resources that are still available. 

Mental Wellness

  • If you know a student who needs to speak with someone or are feeling overwhelmed, please contact or refer them to: Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) - CAPS offers  counseling to help students in crisis or who are feeling stress.
  • CARE at the Sexual Assault Resource Center is the UC San Diego confidential* advocacy and education office for sexual violence and gender-based violence (dating violence, domestic violence, stalking). CARE at SARC is on-call 24 hours a day and on weekends throughout the year. If you are in need of urgent support during non-business hours, weekends, or holidays, please call at (858) 534-5793
  • Learn how to support students of concern at UC San Diego with the Triton Concern Line.

Physical Wellness 

  • A FREE online health and fitness program offered to current UC San Diego graduate students and undergraduate students. 7 weeks of live online sessions, with each week dedicated to a different topic/ workout. Each participant will also be added to Canvas for Student Personal Wellness. This will provide opportunities for students to do some weekly goal setting, workout journal as well as self reflection on energy levels, stress levels, and sleep patterns. The course also has work out videos and a wealth of health/ fitness related information pertaining to each topic. At the end of the course the final session of the program will be a dedicated time to discuss individualized workout plans for each participant with the certified wellness coach.

Financial and Environmental Wellness

  • To support our resilient students, both The Hub Basic Needs Center and Triton Food Pantry will remain open during this time. For questions and hours please visit the websites above, or reach out to basicneeds@ucsd.edu or 858-246-2632.
  • On-campus housing communities will remain open and operational for Summer Session and fall quarter. HDH and Residential Life will continue to support students who choose to reside on campus. Visit the HDH COVID-19 FAQ page for up-to-date information.
  • Student Legal Services (SLS) provides services to registered UCSD undergraduate and graduate students, and to student organizations. They provide a housing seminar that can be viewed here
  • Undocumented Student Services is in operation and ready to support students through the use of remote service delivery technologies. Please visit Undocumented Student Services to learn more. 

Intellectual Wellness

  • OSD is working with numerous departments, divisions, and units to communicate information regarding accommodations for students with disabilities and will be providing updates here.
  • Students may make appointments with the Writing HUB here
  • For the safety and well-being of our community, Geisel Library and the Biomedical Library Building are closed until further notice. Please visit the Library's COVID-19 response page to learn more about services available to students at the Library and in the community during these challenging times.
  • Due to the shelter-in-place orders from the California Governor, the OASIS staff has been busy preparing to adjust our services to come to life in a digital world.  Please continue checking their website for recent updates.
