Welcome Students, Faculty, Staff, and Families to Student Affairs:
Student Affairs is responsible for the well-being and success of students in and outside of the classroom. We work in collaboration with faculty colleagues to ensure students admitted to UC San Diego succeed and graduate with the skills, knowledge and resilience to pursue their life-long dreams.
I am extremely fortunate to work with some of the strongest and brightest Student Affairs professionals in the country. Student Affairs is made up of 400 professional staff and 2,400 student employees who work diligently to provide critical services and support to our undergraduate and graduate students – a total population over 33,000 students.
In Student Affairs we work to develop every student to lead, innovate, solve problems and contribute to the betterment of the world. We also have a strong commitment to accountability and excellence. Each program and service is assessed and evaluated to ensure that we are providing services that our students need and contribute to their ultimate goal of success.
From the athletic and recreation fields, to learning communities, to international trips and local community service, to front-line services, our staff is working for our students. We are a student-centered, data-driven, decision-making organization that strives for the very best.
