About SSAP

Before You Visit Mexico

Student Safety Awareness &
Sexual Assault Resource Center

Education and Prevention

We’re available for workshops that include facts about sexual assault, dating violence, stalking, strategies to reduce your risk of being a victim of violent crime, how to help a friend who was sexually assaulted, and safety strategies when visiting Mexico. Call us for your organization or department!

Self Defense Classes

In conjunction with the UCSD Police Department, we sponsor the R.A.D. (Rape Aggression Defense) classes which give hands-on training for self defense techniques for women.

Crisis Intervention

The director is available twenty-four hours a day for UCSD students who are victims of sexual assault and dating violence. If an incident occurs after hours and on weekends, call the UCSD Police at (858) 534-HELP.

Counseling

Staff provide onsite counseling and support to UCSD students who are survivors of rape, friends of rape victims, dating violence, stalking, or other violent crimes.

Advocacy and Accompaniment

Upon request of the victim, staff will accompany victims of violent crimes to the police, hospital, and court.
