UCSD Recreation
Get fit, have fun, meet new people . . . at UCSD Recreation
Work out, swim, play intramural softball, run with masters, sea kayak for a weekend, do yoga or hip hop dance, ice skate with the ice hockey team, sail away at Mission Bay Aquatics Center, shoot hoops on your own, ride a polo pony . . . do all this and more.
Look on campus for the blue info holders to find the Recreation Magazine. It contains current schedules and complete program information. On the Web we’re at ucsd.recreation.edu. Friendly folks are also available to answer your recreation questions by phone at (858) 534-4037. You can come into RIMAC at any time, visit or ask questions at our recreation offices upstairs, and sign up for programs downstairs at the sales desk.
Students pay no extra fees to use recreation facilities during the academic year. We’ve got three weightrooms—a giant one at RIMAC, another at the Main Gym, and a small gym at Canyonview Pool. There are indoor and outdoor pools, racquetball and squash courts, an indoor climbing center, activity rooms, playing fields, tennis and sand volleyball courts, a track and field stadium, fitness trail, and parcourse.
